Experience 1990s nostalgia ambiance with family portion serving sizes. Service is fast and friendly. My favorite is their Happy Family dish: substitute shrimp for extra scallops: seasoning is refreshing with balance of seafood and veggies. We also like their hot garlic shrimp and fried bone-in pork chops. Will be back soon to try other dishes.

We came for dinner and ordered jellyfish, chachiang mien, and sweet and sour pork. Everything was pretty good, just a bit different than what I am normally used to. I was expecting a more traditional flavor. Would still come back though.

I came here again for the first time in a while. The restaurant was surprisingly full on a weekend night. The last few times I visited during pre-covid times, the restaurant seemed to struggle to fill even the main dining room. Food is still great... It's actually even better than I remember. The prices are a bit high but I'd say it's worth it for the occasional treat. I still recognize the owner and staff which is a nice comforting surprise. Glad to see this place is still thriving.

Stumbled across a little hole in the wall restaurant! We went around 4pm so there was no wait at all. We ordered the black bean noodle and it thought it was okay. A bit bland and nothing special about it. Their house kimchi is really good though! So mixed together, the noodles tasted better. We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken and I appreciate how the sauce is on the side so the chicken remains crispy and not soggy.

I was really craving black bean noodles as well as sweet and sour pork and this place definitely made my experience worth while. String Bean 4/5 - I love stir fried string beans and this was very good. They give you a generous amount of the vegetable which I liked a lot. Sweet and Sour Pork 5/5 - For the price and quantity of the dish, this was very worth it. I liked everything about it and would get it again Hot Noodle 5/5 - I wish they gave a little more seafood but overall the broth was very rich and tasted excellent. Black Bean Noodle 4/5 - This was what I wanted but I wish there was a little more flavor to the noodles. Still good nonetheless. Overall I would come here again and for the price every dish I tried was worth it!

Peking Gourmet has great Korean Chinese food. I always passed by this restaurant and decided to finally give it a try. I came here for lunch and got seated right away. The food came out quickly and was really good! I got the small jjajangmyeon for $7 and it was one of the best jjajangmyeon I've had in OC. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and flavorful. Our meal came out to be $24 with tip. The interior of the restaurant is the anything fancy but I am definitely coming back again for their great food.

Great dining experience. The interior is large, and clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Plenty of menu selection varying from typical Chinese menu offerings; veggies, seafood, chicken, beef, etc. Menu is very easy to read. Excellent spot for Chinese/Korean dine-in experience. Definitely recommend!

Delicious Korean style Chinese food! This restaurant is so straight up. No fancy-schmancy menu options. No wow factor when you walk in. Not even reservations allowed unless it is a party greater than 10. Peking Gourmet is just straight good old Korean-Chinese food I remember eating as a teenager. We came here for my husband's birthday last night. Hubbie is a very straight up guy lol. He doesn't care for fancy, or the latest food trends. What he does care for is some good food with the right portions to make him happy. And that's what Peking Gourmet did for him last night (and us!) We really enjoyed our dinner here. Their dishes were delicious! We ordered: Jja hang myun ~ had a couple bites, was so good! Mongolian beef ~ delicious! Honey walnut shrimp ~ SO good! Probably my favorite of the evening. So crispy and flavorful Egg drop soup ~ daughter ordered it, but it was so good! Definitely looking forward to coming again. It brings me back to my younger days of enjoying this type of food with my family.

First time at this restaurant and thought the food was delicious. The kimchi that they served with the meal is mild and flavorful. The servers were friendly and the restaurant has a traditional Chinese decor that compliments the dishes they serve. The noodles were a bit long, so asking for scissors and small bowls to share might be a good idea. For those who don't like hot spicy, the dishes we ordered were not at all but flavorful. Just note that they are closed on Tuesdays.
